Health Plan Calculators
Run the numbers on Medicare and Marketplace coverage. Every calculator runs in your browser, uses official figures for the year shown, and never asks for your name, phone number or health information.
Medicare
| Calculator | What it answers |
|---|---|
| Advantage vs. Original Medicare | Pick your county: the cheapest Advantage plans from CMS data against Original Medicare with Plan G and Part D, in a healthy year and a worst-case year. |
| Plan G vs. Plan N | Which Medigap plan costs less for your quotes, doctor visits and excess-charge risk, with high-deductible Plan G as a third option. |
| IRMAA | Whether your income adds a surcharge to Part B and Part D, your bracket, and how far you are from the next one. |
| Late enrollment penalty | The lifetime Part B and Part D penalties for a gap in coverage, per month and over ten years. |
| Medicare Savings Programs check | Whether your income and savings fit QMB, SLMB, QI or Extra Help, which can pay your Part B premium and drug costs. |
ACA Marketplace and job-based plans

| Bronze vs. silver vs. gold | Total yearly cost of up to three plans at every level of medical bills, and where they swap places. |
| HDHP vs. PPO | Whether a high-deductible plan with an HSA beats your employer’s PPO after premiums, employer HSA money and taxes. |
How these calculators work
Program figures (premiums, brackets, poverty guidelines, tax credit tables, HSA limits) come from CMS, Social Security, HHS and the IRS, and live in one file that every calculator reads, so a new year’s numbers change every calculator at once. Plan data comes from CMS plan files. Each calculator lists its sources and says which year’s figures it uses. See our methodology.
Educational estimates, not quotes or advice. Sources are listed on each calculator.
